Founder And Chief Investment Officer
Lee has worked in investment management since 2007, beginning his career at Wells Fargo Advisors as an assistant portfolio manager, analyst, and trader in the Private Client Group, where he focused on large‑ and mid‑cap stock analysis and selection.
In 2016, he moved into the RIA space as Chief Investment Officer for a firm affiliated with LPL Financial, where he became a founding member of Valor Asset Management, an in‑house, fully customized, turn‑key asset management platform. Lee built and led a first‑of‑its‑kind model management program offering diversified and stock‑only portfolios to advisors across the firm. He partnered with more than 20 advisors on portfolio management, supported advisor recruitment, and oversaw the internal investment team, including research, analysis, and trading. He also chaired the Investment Committee, authored weekly market commentary, and hosted periodic market update calls.
In 2023, Lee branched out on his own as sole owner of Valor Asset Management. Now, in 2025, Lee has expanded his asset management services to Professional Planning Associates in Philadelphia, PA, as Chief Investment officer, operating through Cetera Advisors as broker‑dealer.
Before finance, Lee served eight years as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy aboard the fast‑attack submarine USS Trepang (SSN 674), qualifying as Officer of the Deck and Engineer Officer of the Watch. He passed the rigorous Submarine Engineer Officer’s exam and earned two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals for his efforts aboard Trepang. He was also one of two submarine‑qualified scuba divers on board, earning "Class Honorman" at the U.S. Navy Dive School in Panama City, FL.
While still in the Navy and on shore duty in Washington, D.C., Lee earned an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University, graduating magna cum laude with Business Academic All‑American honors. As an undergrad, Lee studied mechanical engineering at Union College, Schenectady, NY, graduating cum laude with departmental honors. He was also published in three biomedical journals for his senior project on vortex generation in cardiovascular bypass grafts.
Lee is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He is also an Eagle Scout.
Lee lives in Chester Springs, PA with his wife, Victoria, and their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys running, biking, sailing, hiking, and spending time at the Delaware beaches. He is an active parishioner at Saint Elizabeth Parish, volunteering as a catechist and in the Good Works ministry that helps renovate homes. He also enjoys coaching youth baseball and basketball in the local community.
